Grit Virtual, Inc. has been accepted into an extensive 90-day accelerator program called
Techstars. Techstars was created in Boulder, CO in 2006. Since then, Techstars has assisted
1023 companies in raising almost $3.6 billion in fundraising. Of those 1023 companies, only
11% have failed. Techstars has also made an equity purchase of Grit along with other financial

Due to the intense nature of the program, it is required of the founder to relocate and work out
of Kansas City, MO for the duration of the program. Chris Callen will be representing Grit and
Wichita among 10 companies locally from Kansas City and Lawrence, but also as far away as
North Carolina, Los Angeles, Berkeley, and Ontario.
Another requirement of the program is that Grit be separated from Builders Plus and moved
into a stand-alone corporation. This occurred May 31, 2017. Chris Callen will remain CEO of
both Builders Plus Construction, LLC and Grit Virtual, Inc.
Due to the massive boost this experience will give Grit, we will immediately begin to assess our
needs and begin to build our team.
